KPMG strengthens its transformation and technology capabilities with the acquisition of LOYIC, a company specialized in SAP consulting

KPMG in Spain strengthens its commitment to transformation and technology with the integration of LOYIC, a company specialized in the implementation of SAP software for real estate asset management. With this operation, effective as of March 1, the firm incorporates 80 professionals and expands its expertise and service offerings to help clients transform their business processes through technology.

The integration of LOYIC not only enhances KPMG’s capabilities but also positions the firm as a leading provider of SAP solutions in the EMEA region, expanding its reach and leadership in this strategic field. In fact, it boasts a broad base of relevant clients.

With this acquisition, KPMG now has over 1,000 professionals dedicated to transformation and technology consulting, where cybersecurity and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) play a key role. The firm has been a pioneer in implementing AI in its own internal processes as a "zero client," allowing it to optimize and comprehensively transform its internal operations and, consequently, offer clients tangible, value-added solutions.

The president of KPMG in Spain, Juanjo Cano, stated that "the acquisition of LOYIC is a strategic step in our commitment to strengthening our capabilities in transformation and technology, particularly in SAP solutions. We will continue investing in talent and the development of innovative technologies to remain a strategic partner for our clients in their digitalization processes."

Additionally, LOYIC's co-founders and directors, along with the entire company team, will integrate into KPMG as a key part of this process. This group of professionals are highly recognized in the industry and are based in both Madrid and Barcelona. They will be led by Belén Díaz, Partner in charge of Transformation and Technology in Consulting Corporates, and Juan de Dios Lechuga, her counterpart for the Financial Sector.

The co-founders of LOYIC, Javier Alonso and David García, emphasize that “the integration into KPMG is the culmination of our growth process. It will allow us to maintain our specialization and the high level of quality in the SAP services we provide to our clients while complementing our service portfolio with the technological and transformation solutions that KPMG is strongly committed to. Ultimately, by combining our capabilities, we will be able to deliver high-quality, end-to-end service to LOYIC’s current clients and expand the service offering for KPMG’s clients, both nationally and internationally.”

In fact, with this integration, KPMG in Spain will add a new office in Sabadell, bringing its total number of locations to 21 across the country and Andorra. Among these locations, a key highlight is its technology hub in Madrid, located in Alcobendas and known as One Tech. This space integrates specialized teams in Artificial Intelligence (AI), transformation and technology, cloud, digital platforms and architectures, cybersecurity, and data analytics, among others.

The firm’s growth in transformation and technology is also reflected in its recruitment of specialized professionals. Specifically, 23% of the new hires are in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Additionally, the firm anticipates exponential growth in professionals with SAP expertise, as it plans to recruit talent at all levels of responsibility and for all its offices across Spain.
